Sci High values the engagement of every student's family member. We seek to encourage family involvement on campus because their commitment and participation are extremely valuable to the success of Sci High. Every family's involvement in our community plays a vital role in our ability to maintain a strong, supportive environment for learning.
PowerSchool Parent/Student Portal gives parents and students access to real-time information including attendance, grades, and detailed assignment descriptions.
PowerSchool’s Parent/Student Portal provides single sign-on access for the parent. With single sign-on access, parents create and maintain their accounts using the appropriate access credentials.
Once parents have created their account, they will be able to manage their account information, link any and all students to the account (for whom they have parental or legal rights); set email and notification preferences for each student linked to the account.
Research shows that students with involved parents do better in school, have higher attendance, turn in their homework, and have better attitudes. By offering families easy access to reports of student behavior and progress on learning objectives, our teachers establish ongoing communication and help parents take a greater role in their child’s education.
We are pleased to introduce Naviance Student – a mobile-friendly website that you can use to plan for college and a career. Naviance Student is linked with Naviance™, a service that we use in our office to track and analyze data about college and career plans, so it provides up-to-date information that is specific to our school. Naviance Student also lets us share information with you about upcoming meetings and events, local scholarship opportunities, and other resources for college and career information. You can also use the site to stay in communication with the counseling office. We will provide you with a personal access code and instructions for accessing Naviance Student. You will use that code to create your own Naviance Student account.

All visitors must check-in at the Security Desk. Visitors must present a valid driver's license and be processed through the Ident A Kid system. Once the process is completed, a visitor’s pass will be issued and the person must wear it until they leave the campus. They must check out using the Ident A Kid system and return the badge to the security officer. All school volunteers must follow the legally mandated requirements to ensure the safety of our students. Each volunteer must submit a Criminal Background Check filed in Orleans parish, no matter the event or length of volunteer time.
Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages, straight to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, and more. SchoolMessenger is compliant with the Student Privacy Pledge, so you can rest assured that your information is safe and will never be given or sold to anyone.
