Virtual Open House for Prospective Students

November 16, 2020 | by

New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School, aka “Sci High”, will hold a Virtual Open House for parents and prospective students starting Thursday, November 19th on its website, www.noscihigh.org. Families are invited to register now for an access link to be emailed when the open house begins.

Sci High offers students cutting-edge and industry-focused STEM electives. Parents and students are invited to learn more about Sci High, tour the campus and meet the faculty and staff.

Sci High will be moving to a new, $35 million state-of-the-art campus in the biomedical corridor in Mid-City in January 2021. Sci High’s new building will be specially designed with a number of classrooms unique to the school’s curriculum. The building will have engineering classrooms, biomedical laboratories, computer centers, fabrication studios, and an outdoor construction area for larger projects.

Students have access to Advanced Placement (AP) classes, paid summer internships, and robotics courses. Sci High offers Project Lead the Way courses in Computer Science, courses in the LSU STEM Pathway, and boasts a new Makerspace for student innovation and exploration. Sci High features small class sizes in an encouraging, respectful atmosphere in an academically rigorous public school setting. Sci High dedicates many resources to supporting the whole child, through counseling support, a health clinic, tutoring and enrichment programs, and student-centered initiatives and training.

For an appointment to visit the school, or any other admissions questions, please call (504) 324-7061 or go to www.noscihigh.com.
