Virtual Learning Extended through 2/1/22

Sci High Families & Students,

I hope you all are doing well and are braced for this evening's expected winter weather. This message is in regards to the current virtual instruction period and tomorrow's asynchronous periods.

As stated before, Sci high is committed to taking all the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the well-being of our students, teachers, and staff. We continue to follow guidance from NOLA Public Schools in regards to wearing masks, sanitizing before entry into the building, assigning seats in classrooms, thoroughly disinfecting the building, in addition to making testing and vaccinations available to all staff and students.

Out of an abundance of caution, Sci High students will continue to attend classes virtually through February 1, 2022. This additional time is also to provide our families additional time for students to become vaccinated before the NOLA-PS student vaccination requirement deadline on February 1, 2022. All students are expected to return to in-person instruction on February 1st. Communication regarding the virtual instruction extension will be shared with families.

Communication regarding the return will be shared on or before Friday, January 28, 2022.

Also, do not forget to order at home COVID-19 test from USPS.com.
