2020-2021 Orientation

August 7, 2020 | by

Dear Sci High Families,

As we have mentioned before, this school year will be different than any we've experienced before. Sci High teachers, staff, and administration have been planning feverishly to make sure our students get off to a STRONG Start! That includes making sure all of our students receive the technology they need to attend class remotely, making sure they are well oriented on how this will all work, and that they receive all the supplemental materials they need for their courses. That said, much of this is dependent upon shipments from vendors, computer applications cooperating, and is just plain out of our control.

To that end, and due to unforeseen circumstances, we will need to shift our scheduled orientation dates back a few days. Hence, our official first day of school will be Monday, August 17th. Please see the new orientation schedule here:

9th grade: Monday, August 10th. More details to follow in a separate message.

10th grade: Tuesday, August 11th

11th grade: Wednesday, August 12th

12th grade: Thursday, August 13th

Friday, August 14th, will be our virtual "Meet & Greet" Day.

More details to come. 10th-12th grade students will keep the same time slot they originally signed up for on their new day. If a 10th-12th grade student needs to change their time slot, please email Ms. Muse at kmuse@noscihigh.org.

None of us signed up for this, and none of us have done this before. But we will approach it with the same enthusiasm, patience, and growth mindset as we approach each new school year.

Let's do this!
