It’s already the second week of school! We began the school year with a strong start. Dr. Avis Williams, the new superintendent of NOLA-PS, visited campus on our first day. Students enjoyed a full first week of classes and one student earned a gift card to Chick-fil-A after their name was pulled during a raffle for being in perfect uniform and being on time! Remember, our mantra for this year is operation Determination. Extraordinary people with extraordinary determination can reach success untold. Let’s take on another great week!
Updates
Sci High’s uniform vendors are experiencing a supply shortage that has delayed the availability of school-approved outerwear options. Due to this shortage and delay, Sci High will provide a one-week grace period for families to get the school-approved uniform options. During the grace period students are allowed to wear solid blue, black, gray, or khaki outerwear, ONLY — No Hoodies— or the approved school uniform outerwear options. It is important that families follow the guidelines mentioned above. All students will be expected to be in full, logo-approved uniforms, by August 22nd.
Sign up for this week’s free COVID testing! To qualify for this week, families must register today. In partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health, NOLA Public Schools will offer COVID testing at no charge for all interested students. Testing will occur weekly on-site during school hours.
