Good Evening Sci High Families,

This is a reminder that starting tomorrow, Monday, August 23, students will attend virtual classes for 2-weeks due to operational challenges related to COVID-19 absences. We anticipate students to return on Tuesday, September 7th. We recognize that our students learn best in-person however at this time we need to ensure meaningful learning continues this school year.

Please see important information for the upcoming switch to virtual classes and other announcements below:

Technology

Students in need of internet access at home are eligible to receive a hotspot from our school. Students should notify their homeroom teachers to coordinate pickup from the school.

Sci High will offer curbside meals for students. Curbside breakfast/lunch pickup will start on Monday, August 23, 2021. Pick-up days will be on Monday (covers Monday and Tuesday) and Wednesday (covers Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) from 11 am to 1 pm in front of the school. As of now, this service will continue through Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Vaccines and COIVD-19 Testing

The School-Based Health Center will continue to provide vaccines and testing for students and families during this time. Families should contact the clinic at (504) 613-5648 to schedule a vaccination. This is open to all students and family members.

Remember, masks and vaccinations -- they work!

Best regards,
