Dear Sci High Families,
I hope this message finds you and yours doing well. I hope you're as excited as I am about the much cooler weather expected this weekend! Finally!
As we sink into the weekend, here are a few very important announcements for next week:
  • New schedule starting next week - The school week will be structured to include 4 online days (Mon-Thurs) and 1 asynchronous day (Fri). On Fridays only, 9th graders will participate in 9th Grade academy (see info below) while 10th - 12th graders will complete assignments for each class independently. On Fridays, 10th-12th graders will only report online to Homeroom for attendance, but will not have online classes throughout the day. All course assignments will need to be submitted during their regular class period.
  • 9th Grade Academy - Beginning next Friday, October, 23rd, we will begin our 9th Grade Academy:
    • All 9th graders will report to campus from 8:00 am - 11:00 am on Friday only.
    • This is mandatory for 9th graders at risk of failing any course; parents will need to complete an “opt-out” form if they choose for their student not to attend.

    • Transportation will be provided. Families should have received a survey regarding transportation needs. Please respond as soon as possible.

    • Breakfast and grab-n- go lunch will be provided.

    • Students must be in school uniform and must wear a mask.

    • There will be a maximum 8-10 students per assigned room.

    • COVID-19 safety guidelines will be in practice, including temperature checks at the door.

  • Study Hall is available for all students each day from 2:15-3:15. On Fridays, an extended study hall will be available from 12:00 - 3:00. All study hall sessions include an instructor who is available to students needing assistance.
That's all for now! Have a great weekend!
