Dear Sci High Families,
I hope you were able to find time to rest and relax this weekend. You deserve it! Here are a few reminders for the upcoming week:
9th Grade Academy - These sessions will continue on Fridays through the end of the semester. If your 9th grader didn't attend last week, please consider having them join this week.
- All 9th graders will report to campus from 8:00 am - 11:00 am on Fridays only.
- This is mandatory for 9th graders at risk of failing any course; parents will need to complete an “opt-out” form if they choose for their student not to attend.
- Students needing transportation should complete the transportation request form sent in a previous email.
Study Hall is available for all students each day from 2:15-3:15. On Fridays, an extended study hall will be available from 12:00 - 3:00. All study hall sessions include an instructor who is available to students needing assistance.
Science Fair Judges - The Science Department is seeking parents who may be interested in serving as judges for the 2020-21 Virtual Science Fair being held on Thursday, November 5th. This year's theme is "Black Scientists Matter." If interested, please contact Ms. Mallozzi at
amallozzi@noscihigh.org.
Pink -Out Day - In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Friday, October 30th, we will hold a Virtual Pink-Out day. We're asking our Sci High community to wear pink as a tribute to those fighting breast cancer. Students can show up in classes and show out on social media (don’t forget to tag Sci High). Be sure to check Sci High social media to see how students and staff are showing their support!
Tropical Storm Zeta - As Tropical Storm Zeta enters the Gulf of Mexico, please stay tuned for updates from the school and city officials for potential impacts to our area.
