Bichene Okorn

Mr. Bichene N. Okorn has been an educator for over 13 years now. He has taught grades PreK-12th and served as an administrator at the Middle School level. His educational leadership experience has afforded him the opportunity to become a ubiquitous educator. His career has taken him from ISS Coordinator, Behavior Interventionist, Dean of Students, Dean of Discipline, Physical & Health Science Instructor, Chemistry Teacher, Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology & Physics Tutor, an Emergency Social Studies educator. Mr. Okorn currently serves as an Environmental Science Instructor at New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School. He has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Chemistry Pre-Medicine from Dillard University and a Master of Educational Leadership & Administration (M.Ed.) from Concordia University Portland. Mr. Okorn enjoys his leisure time spending time with family and friends, listening to and enjoying other liberal arts. "Education to me is advocacy and social medicine. It provides students with the critical thinking skills they will need throughout life irrespective of discipline..The beauty of education is that we all learn daily, even from our students."
