I hope that everyone spent time reflecting on all that we have to be thankful for. Remember: Every day is a great day to be grateful. Let’s continue to share this gratitude throughout our community. Tomorrow, Monday, November 29, Sci High will begin the final sprint for this semester as we return from the Thanksgiving Holiday break. Below are important announcements for this week.

Tuesday, November 30, 9th through 11th grade students will take the practice ACT. Information for Senior students will be shared via Google Classroom. This is also a reminder that students are currently two weeks away from LEAP 2025 and Final Exam Testing details regarding the exam schedule will follow in the next Chamber Chat message.
The student entrance at North Johnson Street will open every morning at 7:15 am. Students are required to wear the full school uniform every day this week. This includes the Sci High student identification card. The full uniform policy can be found in the student handbook on the school’s website. Link
Important Notes:
As a continued safety measure, everyone entering the building is required to wear a face-covering per the NOLA-PS mask mandate. Face coverings are required to be worn over the nose and under the chin to help reduce the spread of COVID. In-person learning must continue and wearing masks will help Sci High's community practice our primary purpose —preparing our students for college and successful careers.
Hoods are not allowed to be worn while students are on campus. This is a safety measure for staff to easily identify Sci High students.
Personal electronic devices are only allowed to be used at breakfast and lunch during the school day. Students are not allowed to use their personal electronic devices during passing periods. Students must put their personal electronic devices away and in silent mode during classes.
