Biography

My name is Chanda Burks and this is my third year serving as Executive Assistant to the Head of School. I enjoy my role because it allows me the opportunity to build relationships, collaborate and support our Sci High Administrators, Faculty, Staff, Students, Parents/Guardians, Board Members and stakeholders at Sci High. "Almost every student you meet may be fighting a battle you know nothing about. Stop. Think, and then make your response accordingly." I believe every student has potential and offers something unique and special but in order for them to grow and be resilient, they need to feel love, compassion, trust and empowerment. I have 12 years experience in youth development, ensuring quality programs, services and activities were developed and implemented for the success and advancement of youth. I received an Associates Degree from Northwood University and my Bachelor's Degree from Howard University. My joy and reasons why are my 3 sons! My passion is helping others be L.Y.F.T.E.D - Living Your Future Thru Empowerment & Determination.
