Dear Sci High Families,
Tropical Storm Marco made a significant shift in path yesterday afternoon and is now expected to impact our area by Monday afternoon as a Category 1 Hurricane. As such, NOLA Public Schools (NOLA-PS) is announcing school closures and cancelation of all virtual learning and school-based activities for Monday and Tuesday of this week.
These closures will also affect the prepared meals being offered to families for pick-up. Announcements will be made when they resume.
The District and the Sci High Administration will continue to monitor the two storms over the next few days and will reassess needs for additional closures due to Tropical Storm Laura as we continue to learn more on the potential impacts to our area.
Please remain vigilant and monitor the City’s announcements and updates from the school regarding the storm. We will post all storm-related announcements on our website and social media as well.
