Tuesday, September 5th through Friday, September 8th.

Good evening Sci High Community,

I hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend. As we return to school tomorrow, here are a few reminders:

Transportation: As additional students are being added to the buses, the routes and route times may have small changes. Please be sure to confirm the routes/times the night before, just to make sure there are no unexpected changes.

Activity Buses: Buses for students who participate in after-school activities will begin this week for those students who have PRE-registered specifically for the activity buses. These buses will have different routes from the regular morning buses, therefore only those students who have pre-registered will be allowed to board these buses. The activity buses will run on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays only.

Early dismissal on Wednesdays will begin this week on September 6th. All students will be dismissed at 1:00 PM. There will be no activities on Wednesdays, except for scheduled athletic events.

COVID -19: Although there are no active COVID emergency declarations in effect in our area, NOLA-PS and Sci High understand COVID-19 remains an ongoing public health challenge. We are continuing to follow CDC Guidelines which state:

  • Those who are exposed are to wear a mask for 10 days after their exposure and should receive testing within 5 days of their exposure.
  • Those who test positive are likely most infectious during the first 5 days and should isolate for 5 days and may end isolation based on how serious symptoms are.
  • Please see here for more information.

Lastly, please remember that all students are required to be in full, Sci High approved, uniform every day. Also, cell phones, electronic games, or other personal electronic devices are not allowed to be used, heard, or seen in the school or outside on school premises.

Let’s have a great week!! Go HARD!!
