Good afternoon Sci High Families,

As Tropical Storm Zeta continues to strengthen in the Gulf of Mexico, it is now expected to make landfall as a Category 1 hurricane, affecting our area beginning Wednesday afternoon. NOLA Public Schools (NOLA-PS) has announced that there will be no in-person learning on Wednesday, and that schools should move to distance learning. For Sci High, this means that we will continue our virtual learning on Wednesday. Therefore, students should sign into their classes tomorrow morning, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Sci High, along with the District, will continue to monitor the storm. As we continue to learn more about the potential impacts to our area throughout the day tomorrow, we will reassess the need for extended closures or whether we will return to distance learning on Thursday.

Breakfast and lunch will be distributed, curbside, on Wednesday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Please note the time change.

Please continue to monitor the City’s announcements and updates from the school regarding the storm. We will post all storm-related announcements on our website and social media as well.
