As promised, we have attempted to keep you posted as new developments arise regarding transportation. We appreciate your continued patience as we make this transition to a long
As mentioned previously, there continues to be a citywide shortage of available buses that meet the criteria dictated by new city regulations, as well as a shortage of drivers with
proper driving credentials. However, today we received confirmation from EMS Transportation that they are able to begin phasing in buses, with morning and afternoon service, as soon as Monday. Sept 16th. This means that morning and afternoon services will be provided to two (2) routes initially,
and as additional buses and drivers become available, they will be phased in, with the hopes that all contracted buses will be online by October 1, 2019.
Starting Monday, Sept 16, 2019, the Orange and Pink bus routes
will begin receiving morning and afternoon service. Please note that there may have been changes
to the routes by the new bus company, so PLEASE CHECK THE SCHOOL WEBSITE
) for possible
changes to times and bus stops. At this time, all other routes will remain on the temporary service for morning pickup only.
We anticipate phasing in the
Westbank buses next, but we do not have an exact date as of yet.
NOTE: Unfortunately, we regret that we will be unable to provide bus service to all of our previous routes in the long
term. As of October 1, 2019, those students who reside closest to the school (less than 2.5 miles) will be offered 30-day RTA bus passes, only. The temporary, morning only
service, will continue to be provided until Sept. 27, 2019 to students within this area. We want to make sure these families have enough time to adapt to this new
